A few words about our Natural Stone Packaging...
As you know….Packing is an most important part of all Granite Slate Marble exporter Company and that is the reason our company’s top brass always keep vigilant eyes on the packing section of our factory, because we really know that without proper packing methods, our beautiful granite slabs or tiles or our highly demanding slate stone tiles can not be delivered at our clients’ door step in fully intact ways. Rajasthan Stones gets wooden crates with good quality, chemically treated seasoned wood as per the International regulations. The crates & the containers are being fumigated before dispatch as per International Fumigation Standards ISPM – 15, besides we always send digital images of material that we are dispatching, digital images of packed wooden crates, and digital images of the packed container for safe and strong lashing inside the container.
Packaging of large granite slabs, large marble slabs, large quartzite slabs: Large Indian Marble Slabs and Large Indian Granite Slabs are separated individually by plastic sheets to protect against scratches & well packed in wooden crates/pallets/bundles. Polished Faces of Indian marbles & Indian Granites are properly covered, and we take all necessary steps to ensure that polished granite slabs and polished marble slabs reach safely to their destinations.
Indian Natural Stones viz Indian slate stone, Indian sandstone, Indian marble packing methods:
Packaging of granite tiles, marble tiles: First of all surface of each slab/tile is protected by using a thin polythene sheet while tightly stacking them in a wooden crate. This protects the polished surface of stones from scratching due to abrasion of dust particles between two tiles. Each wooden crate is first in-lined with thin polythene sheet to protect the “stones” from staining from wooden planks or from any other feature, then it is in-lined with thermocol sheet along horizontal planks to protect natural stones against damage from wooden planks or nails. This is a fundamental preliminary packing used for all our wooden crates irrespective of the type of stone packed.
Packaging of sandstone, limestone, slate stone pavers: In case of outdoor stones like flagstones, landscaping stones, circles etc which are basically rough stones, they are directly stacked in the wooden crates. Any loose gaps are tightened with filling material like wood, hardboard, foam-sheet, etc to protect stone slabs/tiles from colliding with each other.
Packaging of 10mm or 15mm tiles which are very thin to break: 6-10 such tiles are first packed in cardboard boxes. These boxes are then tightly stacked in the wooden crate. Cardboard boxes provide additional cushion to the thin tiles and prevent them from breakage. In case of softer but costlier stones like polished marble or granite tiles in 10mm thickness, 5-10 such tiles are first packed in Styrofoam (thermocol) boxes and then tightly stacked in wooden crate.
Customized Natural Stone Packaging: If the customer has any thing more specific, regarding the packaging of the natural stones then your instructions are most welcome….we will definitely do as per your instructions.
Marks of the wooden crates and wooden pallets/bundles: We always write our Brand Name, Name of the material, Number of pieces, Number of wooden crate, Surface Finish of the material and Size, Thickness of the material inside the crate, but if the customer wants his own brand on the wooden crates/pallets/bundles, we welcome instructions in advance.
Shipping and transport: We are among the few Indian Slate company & Granite export oriented unit's, which can load both open top and closed top 20feet containers, with ability to load a closed top container using "C – clamps", its striking advantage being a more secure transportation coupled with the minimum possible freight charges.
To conclude, we can say that we really believe in a proverb “All is well that ends well
”, no doubt about it, we never ever tried to save cost on wood and other necessary packaging materials
